Jen Fyfe Clinic owner and Physiotherapist
A Campbell River local, Jen started this practice in 2007 to provide Physiotherapy services to those whose needs do not fit within the typical system or setting. Home visits, long term care facility, remote community, hospital, and everywhere else! She has over 17 years of experience in Campbell River community Physiotherapy.
She has a passion for neurology, empowerment and advocacy. She truly loves providing home based Physiotherapy, as it meets clients right where they are at, and sets the stage for a genuine client centred approach. Jen works full time on a flexible schedule so she can do the work she loves, and be home for her kids most days after school. She covers School District 84, and provides biweekly clinic in Gold River. She is the Physio for Evergreen Seniors Home in Campbell River, and has a caseload of home visits Physiotherapy clients. Tara is our full time Physiotherapist who recently moved to Campbell River from Ontario to join Physio on the Run. She graduated from the University of Toronto in 2020, and has since worked in both clinic and hospital environments over her 4 years of practice.
Tara has an effective manual therapy and exercise based approach. She provides home visits and clinic visits. She is a careful listener and uses evidence based practice to provide the best therapies and interventions. She is knowledgeable and experienced in musculoskeletal injuries management, post operative rehabilitation, and neurological impairments in people of all ages. Tara enjoys hiking, running, exploring nature, and traveling. When she first arrived she was really struck by the size of our trees, and seeing the rivers full of spawning salmon. Karissa is our fantastic day to day manager, supervising our operations, covering the front desk, and doing clinical home visit Kinesiology in Campbell River and Cumberland. Karissa prefers to have a mix of leadership and clinical work, and has a kind and supportive approach in all of the work she does.
Karissa is a registered Kinesiologist originally from Saskatchewan. She completed her Bachelors of Kinesiology from the University of Regina in 2020. Her experience supporting individuals from various populations allows her to create space to build relationships and encourage client's to reach their full potential. She brings a calming presence and is passionate about supporting her team and clients. Karissa has completed her Trauma Informed 200 HR Yoga Teaching Certificate. She works full time at Physio on the Run, and is also a yoga instructor at Session Studio downtown. Sydney RobertsAthletic Therapist
Sydney joined us in 2022 so she could find the work life balance she was looking for; doing inspiring clinical work and advancing her career, and at the same time being able to raise her family.
Sydney is a well known champion in our community for implementing rehab based exercise programming and supporting individuals to achieve their goals in recovery and health optimization. Since 2013 she has provided Athletic Therapy services in Campbell River with passion for musculoskeletal, cardiac, and respiratory rehabilitation. Sydney provides 1:1 direct care providing home visits to those who are ready to take the next step in their rehabilitation. She provides a comprehensive approach to getting you back to doing your normal life again, or to build your new normal. Sydney works part time, enjoys soccer, skiing, and being an active mom with her kids and husband. Nick Eglezos Physio Support/ Exercise Scientist
Nick joined us in the in 2024, and we felt like we found a real gem! He had applied for one of our summer jobs that we typically post to provide Kinesiology/ Athletic Therapy students some summer work experience, and we are so glad he did! Nick is an experienced Exercise Sports Scientist from Melbourne, Australia. He is a wizard in recognizing human movement, as his degree is in human kinetics and kinematics (think sensors, computers and precise data to inform a persons ability to really see what is going on when they move).
Having moved to Campbell River last year, Nick is full time as our Physio Support Worker, as he pursues registration as a kinesiologist with BCAK. He provides 1:1 exercise support to people at home, in LTC, and in remote communities. Nick also provides support in covering the front desk, and joins Jen in covering Gold River and School District 84. Nick enjoys travelling, basketball, cooking and recently discovered a new passion for fishing on his stand up paddle board. |
