Remote Clinics on Northern Vancouver Island and the Northern Gulf Islands
Physio on the Run provides scheduled physiotherapy, kinesiology, and acupuncture services in select remote and rural communities where access to care is limited. Our remote clinics are designed to reduce travel barriers, support continuity of care, and build long-term relationships within the communities we serve.
Clinic availability and services vary by location. Please contact us if you’re unsure which service or location is the right fit.
Regularly Scheduled Remote Clinics
Gold River and Quadra Island
Physio on the Run provides regularly scheduled clinics in communities such as Gold River and Quadra Island, offering physiotherapy, kinesiology, and acupuncture services close to home. In addition to clinic-based care, home visits are regularly available for individuals who benefit from in-home assessment and treatment.
Our work in these communities extends beyond individual appointments. We actively engage in community-based programming, including classes, exercise programs, and collaborative initiatives that support movement, wellness, and participation across the lifespan.
Clinic schedules, home visit availability, and community programming vary by location. Please contact us to learn more about what services and initiatives are currently available in your community.

Other Remote Communities
Tahsis, Cortes Island, and remote areas of Vancouver Island
Physio on the Run provides services in additional remote communities on a scheduled or contract basis. These clinics typically require a minimum of four private-pay bookings per trip, or may be arranged through contract-based or community funding.
How Remote Clinics Work
Remote clinic care includes in-person assessment, treatment, and care planning, with consideration for the realities of remote living, available local supports, and follow-up between visits. Where appropriate, we collaborate with family members, caregivers, and local providers to support continuity of care.
If you are unsure whether a remote clinic is the right option, we’re happy to talk it through.
