HOME VISITS
Care, Delivered Where You Live
Physio on the Run provides mobile physiotherapy, kinesiology, and exercise-based support delivered directly in people’s homes and everyday environments. Home visits allow us to assess real-life movement, safety, and function, and to design care that works within the realities of each person’s space, supports, and goals.
Our mobile services reduce the need for transportation and are especially helpful for individuals with mobility challenges, complex needs, or busy caregiving situations.
Home Safety & Equipment Assessments
We offer in-home assessments to support safety, mobility, and independence within the home. These visits focus on identifying barriers, reducing fall risk, and recommending practical solutions that fit the person and the environment.
Depending on needs, our physiotherapists may provide mobility equipment recommendations such as walkers, canes, crutches, and basic adaptive aids. We may also complete basic wheelchair seating assessments, collaborate with Occupational Therapists during more complex equipment evaluations, and provide assessment reports to support funding programs such as the BC Rebate for Accessible Home Adaptations (RAHA).
Whether you are preparing a home for aging in place or arranging support for a loved one, our team can help guide the process.
Exercise-Based Support at Home
Kinesiologists and Certified Athletic Therapists on our team provide customized, in-home exercise support, delivered under the direction of a physiotherapy care plan following an initial PT assessment.
These visits support adults and seniors maintaining strength, balance, and mobility, as well as individuals living with dementia, developmental delay, chronic illness, or neurological conditions. Programs may include strength, balance, walking, and functional movement, with regular progress check-ins to ensure safety and continued improvement.
Care is individualized, paced appropriately, and designed to fit into daily life.
Elder Care & Aging-in-Place Support
Our services for older adults focus on independence, dignity, and meaningful movement.
We provide physiotherapy care plans and reassessments, one-to-one exercise visits under PT direction, dementia-informed mobility support, indoor and outdoor walking programs, and assistance with community outings.
We also offer education and guidance for family members, caregivers, and care staff to support safe mobility and continuity of care.
We Come to You
Our mobile services are available in a variety of settings, including private homes, long-term care and assisted living facilities, hospitals (private pay when approved), and rural or remote communities.
If you’re unsure whether a home visit is the right fit, we’re happy to talk it through and help you decide.
